How to wash fred perry polo shirts?

I've had my Fred Perry Polo Shirts  around a month or so. After a few wash they go all hard and out of shape. and the collars go all horrible
any suggestions? I really like my Fred Perry Polo Shirts though.

  1. Turn it inside out and wash in a cold wash/cold rinse cycle on the gentle setting with detergent and fabric softener (no bleach or no bleach additives in detergent). Do not put it in the dryer! Reshape it (collar included) while it is still wet and let it dry on a flat surface. I sometimes hang my husband's shirts on a doorknob to air-dry and it doesn't ever seem to mess up the collar.

  2. I buy my husband cheap polo shirts and dont have this problem !
Try washing and then giving them a soak in fabric conditioner and then short spin and pull into shape before drying, also make sure you are not washing them on too hotter cycle.
    Hope this helps.

  3. never wash brights in anything except cold water

use a laundry booster like borax with your brights

use a starching agent in the wash (like a table spoon of corn starch) to help fabrics retain their shape

it sometimes helps to re-brighten reds to buy a new red handkerchief and wash it with them

always hang collared shirts to dry, being careful to arrange the collar the way it should be
